- 750g red delicious apples or 4 apples
- 65g butter, grass fed
- ½ tsp vanilla paste
- 3 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp allspice
- ½ tbsp arrowroot powder
- 80 g wholemeal organic spelt flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup walnut pieces
- optional handful of raisons
Preheat oven to 180C
Butter 6 x ramekin heatproof bake dishes
Peel, core apples and cube into 3 cm pieces. Place in a bowl and coat with arrow root powder, cinnamon, allspice and 1 tbsp coconut sugar. Place mixture in ramekin bowls.
Use the same bowl and place spelt flour, 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar and vanilla paste and mix with hands. Cube butter and mix into dry mixture with hands until mixture is soft and crumbly. Butter should be evenly dispersed. Add oats and walnut pieces. Spoon mixture on top of apples for each of the ramekins.
Bake for 30-40min.
Serve with a dollup of yoghurt.
