Quality ingredients and preparation are key to this easy to make recipe.

Makes 4 serves

1 tbsp flaxseed oil or toasted sesame oil for more robust toasted flavour

120 grams pesticide-free, pre-soaked almonds

80 grams sunflower seeds, pre-soaked

pinch Celtic Sea Salt

 The process of soaking and roasting nuts and seeds can remove some anti-nutrients (phytates). This nut butter contains protein and healthy fats and is delicious on slices of apple.

Method:

Soak almonds and seeds over-night and drain.

For the following day:

Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Place nuts and seeds on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and place in a food processor.  Blend seeds and nuts until it looks like a grainy paste. Add oil and salt and blend to your desired consistancy. Store in a glass jar and score four portions with a knive.
