Vegan friendly and Gluten free

Makes about 1 cup

 

 

Ingredients:

1 cup cashews soaked in water
1 tbsp Nutritional Flakes (Bragg)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup water
3 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp lemon juice

This spicy sauce recipe was adapted from Food52- Vegan by Gena Hamshaw. Bragg Nutritional flakes contain B12, an essential vitamin for those that don’t consume meat, plus it gives a slightly cheesy flavour to the sauce making it ideal for Mexican dishes.

 

Method:

Simply process all ingredients and adjust thickness of sauce by adding water. Drizzle on bean tostadas, tacos or enchiladas.
